This course will investigate the aesthetic, narrative, and technical concepts and principles integral to motion picture post-production. Through lecture, discussion, and screenings topics include editing grammar, the post-production process, collaboration with the director, methods, technique, shot by shot analysis, editing history, emerging technology, editing as the final rewrite of a film and what you must know about editing before you write and shoot a movie.
